Meeting Tia DeVincenzo
As a Certified Health Coach and Movement Specialist, Tia brings her passion for holistic wellness to her coaching practice, Intuitively Tia. Her approach emphasizes the connection between physical health, gut intuition, and managing external stressors. Through her 12-week coaching program, Tia helps clients create a life they love and feel confident in.
"The goal is not to feel better, but to get better at feeling," Tia explains, highlighting her belief that sustainable wellness comes from tuning into your body's natural wisdom rather than following rigid external rules.
Beyond Restriction: The True Power of Intuitive Wellness
While many wellness approaches focus on restriction and all-or-nothing thinking, Tia's method emphasizes personalization and sustainability. Contrary to the misconception that wellness requires perfect adherence to a specific regimen, Tia sees it as an opportunity for self-discovery and gradual transformation.
"What works for one is not going to work for all, and most of the time we need to make very small shifts daily to see big changes," she shares. This perspective allows clients to break free from the cycle of extreme measures and find an approach that truly works for their unique body and lifestyle.

Practical Tips for Intuitive Eating and Movement
Tia believes that how we treat our bodies reflects our overall relationship with ourselves. Here are her practical tips for incorporating intuitive approaches to food and movement:
-
Slow down while eating: Put away distractions like phones and emails during meals. Focus on how you feel when hungry and whether your meal provides satisfying energy afterward.
-
Stand up once an hour: While structured workouts are beneficial, movement throughout the day is crucial for a happier body with fewer aches and greater mobility. Bonus: Add 10 squats when you stand!
-
Practice cleansing breaths: When feeling chaotic or overwhelmed, stop and take three deep breaths—inhale through your nose, exhale slowly through your mouth. This simple practice helps regulate cortisol levels, grounding you in reality instead of letting anxiety run wild.
Try This at Home: A Simple Practice to Start
Ready to experience the power of intuitive eating? Tia recommends this simple awareness exercise:
After each meal, write down how you feel an hour later. Do you feel full or still hungry? Do you feel bloated, nauseous, tired, or energized? Record any sensations that arise.
"This will give you a good indication of how your body is responding to the foods you are feeding it," Tia explains. "Your body really is going to speak to you and tell you everything you need to know, sometimes we have to get a little better at listening."

Finding Freedom Through Understanding
Tia's personal journey with wellness began during her time as a competitive dancer, where she developed an eating disorder at a young age after being told she needed to look and act a certain way.
"One day I got sick of feeling sick, and I dove into the science of anatomy, my nervous system, and eventually a certification that educated me on nutrition and how our body responds to food," she reflects. "Through almost a decade of studying and understanding my own body, I realized I wasn't the only one who felt this way."
This realization shaped her coaching philosophy and resonates with her clients. "I say the program is a love letter to myself—to come home to a body I am confident in, and I know others benefit from it as well. Feeling healthy in our body has become taboo, when it really should be our baseline."
What might surprise you about Tia's wellness journey? Despite being a health coach, she admits, "I don't have it all figured out. When you have an eating disorder, the thoughts never fully leave you." Her strength lies not in perfection but in developing tools to "squash those thoughts in a matter of seconds," preventing them from ruling her life and choices.
The Power of Transformation
Beyond her individual practice, Tia is passionate about the transformations she witnesses in her clients.
"I start to see happiness and ease come back into my clients' lives. They develop confidence not only in their physical appearance but also in the way they are living their lives," she says. "I've heard time and time again—'I didn't even know I could feel this good.'"
Tia emphasizes that this transformation stems from clients gaining knowledge and understanding of what works for their unique bodies and minds, allowing them to tune out external noise and confusion around food and emotions.

Tia offers a 12-week coaching program focused on creating a life you love and feel confident in. "My coaching program is a love letter to myself—to come home to a body I am confident in, and I know others benefit from it as well," she shares.
